SEBASTIAN, FLA. — Marc Brossmer, 72, of Sebastian, Fla., passed away Aug. 23, 2014, after a short illness. Born in Springfield, Mass., he was educated in the Springfield school system and Berkshire Community College, Pittsfield, Mass. For a number of years he was employed in the auto industry before purchasing a NAPA Auto Parts store in Northampton, Mass.
In 1991, he moved to East Blue Hill and learned the fiberglass business from Tom Long and Joel McGraw. He owned Curtis Cove Boat Works, manufacturing fiberglass parts for the marine industry. He retired in 2002.
He leaves a wife of 47 years, Marilyn (York) Brossmer; a brother; Curt of Brooks; and many friends and acquaintances.
At Marc’s request, there will be no services. An avid reader, Marc encourages anyone who wishes to remember him to make a donation to a local library or a program that will encourage the love of reading among children.
