The camp at Branch Pond was where she preferred to be anytime and was Jodi’s comfort zone too. Leslie, a voracious reader, loved books – all kinds, and music – most kinds and ice cream – chocolate. She enjoyed thrift stores, flea markets, yard sales, Dumpsters and she was a collector: cats, coins, silverware, fiesta ware, marbles, mirrors and pennies. Her hobbies, interests, and friends; one leads to another — astronomy, psychology, the law and a good argument, logic and politics, Downeast Horizons, cats, dogs, and people. Of course, badminton, marbles, fishing, dancing, all that fun stuff especially with her youngest sister, Jodi; her forever friend, Susie, and her Branch Pond buddies, Sage and Logan.

A graveside service will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, at Forest Hill Cemetery, Northeast Harbor, with the Rev. Rex Garrette, chaplain of Eastern Maine Medical Center, officiating. Donations may be made in Leslie’s memory to Hancock County SPCA, 141 Bar Harbor Road, Trenton, ME  04605 or Downeast Horizons, 1200 State Highway 3, Bar Harbor, ME  04609.
