Lee Swift, of Winston-Salem, N.C., and formerly of Hancock and Redding, Conn., passed away on Friday, Aug. 28, 2020, at the age of 87. She was the wife of the late Shippen Swift. In Winston-Salem, Lee was a member of the Bethania Moravian Church, and volunteered at the Reynolda House Museum of American Art and Riverwood Therapeutic Riding program. In Hancock, Lee was a director of the Frenchman Bay Conservancy, the Hancock Library and a member of the Hancock Historical Society. Lee is survived by her three children: Michael Swift and wife, Suzanne, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; Hillary Baker and husband, Jeffrey, of New Fairfield, Conn.; and Jennifer Swift of New Haven, Conn.; five grandchildren, Ryan Swift (Alex), Sarah Parzuchowski (Brian), Andrew Baker, McKenzie Baker and Tim Crowley and three great-grandchildren. Lee will also be sadly missed by her many friends in many parts of the world. Contributions in Lee’s memory may be made to the ASPCA, Reynolda House or the Frenchman Bay Conservancy. Funeral services will be private.
