Katalin M. Sipos

DAVENPORT, FLA. — Katalin M. Sipos, 86, of Davenport, Fla., (formerly of Lewisville, Ohio) passed away Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, at her home. She was born Jan. 23, 1927, in Debrecen, Hungary, a daughter of the late Gregory and Rosa Temesvary.

Katalin was a homemaker and a member of the former St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lewisville, Ohio, where she was a member of the Catholic Women’s Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Sipos, March 28, 1994; daughter, Katalin Reddaway; brothers, Gregory and Tibor Temesvary; granddaughter, Tiffany Sipos; and grandson, Joshua Hemminger. Surviving are a daughter, Maria (Lee) Hemminger of Davenport, Fla.; a son, Nicholas A. (Teresa) Sipos of O’Fallon, Ill.; a brother, Andrew Temesvary of North Royalton, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 6 to 8p.m Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, with vigil services at 7:30 p.m. Friends will then be received at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 35560 Miltonsburg-Calais Road, Miltonsburg, Ohio from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral liturgy and Mass at 11a.m. Monday Aug. 19, with the Rev. Fr. David Gaydosik as the celebrant. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lewisville, Ohio.
