Julian E. Bagley, 75, of Centerville passed away Feb. 27, 2021, after a battle with cancer. He was born Oct. 20, 1945, in Bangor, son of Roy and Gladys (Sinclair) Bagley.

After graduating from Bucksport High School in 1964, he worked as a truck driver. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967, stationed in Fort Carson, Colo., and Korea. After his service, he worked as an independent trucker, then later for Bluebird Ranch trucking in Jonesboro for many years.

Julian had a quick wit, wonderful sense of humor and never met a stranger he didn’t want to talk to at some length. He also never saw a field that he didn’t want to mow.

He was predeceased by his parents and son, Rodney Morse. Julian is survived by his loving wife, Gloria, of Centerville; his daughter Kelley Wescott (Ruth Crowley) of Orland; daughter-in-law Susie Morse of Cherryfield; brother-in-law Dickie Mathews of Cherryfield; grandson Nic Morse (Melissa) and their children Lanie, Kaleb and Bree of Columbia Falls; Laura Morse (Amber) and their children, Eliza and Fabian of Cherryfield; brother Gary Bagley (Danny Samaroo) of Las Vegas, Nev.; niece Sarah Gerrish and her children, Dylan and Kristen, of Bangor; niece Marcia Bagley (Mark Vincent) of Merrimack, N.H.; nephew Keith Bagley (Courtney) and their daughters Jordan and Josie of Pike Road, Ala.; several cousins and many friends, including very special friends, Bill and Deb Sehl of Centerville.

Visiting hours will be at the First Congregational Church in Cherryfield from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, March 5. The family will have a private funeral service, with interment and a celebration of life to be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Ark Animal Shelter, 60 Barber Lane, Cherryfield, ME 04622.
