John “Jack” Robertson

WINTER HARBOR — John “Jack” Robertson, 71, of Winter Harbor and Bradenton, Fla., passed away June 21, 2010, in Winter Harbor.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene (Cranshaw) Robertson; daughter, Lori (Michael) Carria of Durham, Conn.; sons, John (Jean) of San Francisco, Calif., and Timothy (David Allman) of Franklin, Mass.; and four granddaughters, Kate and Emily Carria, Tess and Hope Robertson. Jack was a graduate of Cumberland High School and Johnson and Wales University, a U.S. Navy veteran and was in the auto body and trucking business for many years. Born in Lincoln, he lived in Cumberland prior to moving to Winter Harbor and Bradenton several years ago. A seasonal resident of Winter Harbor, Jack drove the Island Explorer bus around Schoodic and most recently was employed at the Winter Harbor Marina on Sargent Street. Having spent most of his life living in Rhode Island, Jack would often comment on how he had finally found his place in Winter Harbor. Jack was a true friend to all he met. He will be forever missed by his many friends and his greatest joy, his family.
