He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He was a member of the Tremont Lodge #77, AF & AM.
Forrest is survived by two sons; Forrest I. Berry Jr. of Oak Harbor, Wash., and Jonathan R. Berry of Manset, one daughter, Paula J. Farley of Seal Cove; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a nephew, Irvin Beadles. He was predeceased by his wife, Mamie (Reynolds) Berry, a sister, Vera G. Beadles, a brother, Charles H. Berry, and a grandson, Corey Farley.
Interment will be at Mt. Height Cemetery, Southwest Harbor.
