Eugene A. Robinson, 80, died at his home March 29, 2020, after battling a long illness. He was born in Steuben, Dec. 10, 1939, the son of Charles A. and Pauline M. (Richardson) Robinson Sr.
He attended Steuben Grammar School and one day of high school. He then went to work lobstering, clamming, cutting wood, sardine and alewife fishing, boat building and nine years of being a selectman, tax assessor and overseer.
His greatest passions were lobstering, deer hunting, camping at the lake and antagonizing anyone he could.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sheila; sister, Addie Dyer; sons, Eric and wife, Joy, and Glenn and Lorena; daughters, Darlene and husband, Billy Falabella, and Pam and husband, Todd Blanchard; stepdaughter, Cheryl MacLean; stepsons, Tim Bybee and girlfriend Sue and Rob Foss and girlfriend Cindy; eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, aunt Gladyce Richardson (who was like a second mother), five brothers and one sister.
