MAYS LANDING, N.J. — Edward W. Battschinger, 83, of Mays Landing, N.J., passed away Dec. 20, 2012, at home with his family at his side.

Born and raised in Newark, N.J., Edward served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the occupation of Japan and again in the Korean War.
