Dorothy Nina (Jellison) Frank

Ellsworth

Dorothy went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 19, 2022. She passed peacefully in her home with her daughter Maureen by her side. She was born in Otis on July 25, 1930, to Sylvia (Salisbury) and Otha Jellison.

Dorothy married the late Arthur W. Frank Sr. On Aug. 13, 1949, in Ellsworth. They remained sweethearts until his passing. Together they had six children.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Arthur, in 2017 and her daughter Joanne Greta Little in 2007; grandsons Angel Kane and Christopher Austin and  great-granddaughter Gracie Belle Leclair; and her son-in-law, Russell I. Cunningham Sr.

Dorothy loved being with her family and they were her greatest joy in her life. Our father always said, “Momma is never happier than when she has a baby on her hip or in her lap.” And it was so true. She will be greatly missed by so many, but will always be remembered.

She is survived by her children: daughter Charice Oliver-Riley and her husband, Dennis, of Freeport , a son, Arthur W. Frank Jr., and his wife, Robin, of Augusta; daughter Maureen Cunningham of Otis, with whom she made her home; a daughter, Terri Milliken, and her husband, Wayne, of Ellsworth; and daughter Annette Hodge of Reno, Nev. She also is survived a dear friend, Michael J. Fitzsimmons Sr. He was so good to our Momma and cared for her in any way he could.

Our mother was blessed with 21 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great grandchildren born during her life! She was truly blessed in life, and we were blessed by her.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity in her memory. Services will be at a later date in the summer.

“A virtuous woman, she is worth far more than rubies, she is clothed with strength and dignity, she speaks with wisdom. And her children arise and call her  blessed.” Proverbs 31.

Know when to pay your respects.
