FRANKLIN and Dorothy, N.J.
Dennis Raymond York, 73, of Dorothy, N.J., formerly of Franklin, passed away Feb. 12, 2020, peacefully, at his home, sitting in his easy chair. He was born Oct. 1, 1946, in Franklin, the second child of Clarence (Bud) Norman York and Mabel Patricia (Pat) Mosley York.
Dennis retired from Ken Adams Oil of Pleasantville, N.J., after 20 years of being an oil burner mechanic. He owned and trained thoroughbred racehorses in Pennsylvania and New Jersey in the 1980s and 1990s.
He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Delores (Murch) Mosley York, his parents, Pat and Bud York, and a brother, Garry York.
Dennis is survived by his son, Dennis York Jr. of Dorothy, N.J.; stepchildren, Lawrence Mosley and partner Andrea McDermott of New Jersey, and Phyllis (Mosley) Wilsie and husband, Peter, of New Hampshire; step-grandchildren, Peter Wilsie Jr., Laura Wilsie, Heather Marie Mosley and Angela Nicole Mosley; 10 step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Norman (Lucky) York and Erwin York; four nieces and nephews; and brothers-in-law, Wayne Murch and Sydney Murch.
Dennis, along with his wife, Delores, will be remembered for the great love they shared for family, horses and all animals. He was one of a kind and will be greatly missed by those who love him.
Interment will be at Bayview Cemetery in Franklin.
