Dawn Michelle Parker passed away Feb. 6, 2019, at a Bangor hospital with her mother at her side.
As her mother’s first-born child, she was born Nov. 5, 1967, at Fort Knox, Ky.
Her younger years were spent in Ohio, where her father’s family was from. When she was around 12, the family moved back to Maine. For a while they lived in Franklin, and then settled Downeast, Jonesport being the last place she lived with her life partner Wayne Dube.
She loved life and loved to laugh. She did a number of things from working on boats to housekeeping. She enjoyed riding Harleys and could have been known as that crazy cat lady.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Andy and Ruth Pung, her father, Rick, stepfather Barney and her brother Lee, special uncles Gene and Ricky.
She is survived by her life partner Wayne, her mother, Lorraine, and her sister Mandi, niece Georgia and nephews Tanner and baby Emmett. A special aunt Barbie and aunt Diane and uncles Andy, Greg and Eddie.
People make choices in life that we don’t understand, but we don’t have to, they do. So fly high, Michelle. We hope you find your peace.
