Connie M. Tripp

MACHIAS and BAR HARBOR — Connie M. Tripp, 75, went to sleep in our Lord Jesus Christ, on April 18, 2013. She awaits resurrection morning when “Christ himself will descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God.” I Thessalonians 4:16.

Connie was born Aug. 5, 1937, in Bar Harbor the daughter of “Mike” Edward and Madeline (Silk) Doyle. She enjoyed music, painting, reading and going out with family and friends. For many years she worked at Jackson Lab and Don’s Shop N’ Save. She moved to California for several years to live with her son, Doug, and his wife, Nancy, where she made many friends, and was very active in the senior group home there.

In addition to her parents; she was predeceased by her husband, Roland; a brother, Michael; and two sisters, Joan and Pat. She is survived by four sons, Doug, Danny, Tommy and Timmy; four grandchildren, Winter, Renea, Michael, and Travis; and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her best friends, Lena Wall and Dee Dee Shields; as well as the staff and residents at Marshall Healthcare, where she lived the last few years. The family is grateful for the many friends she made there, and for the wonderful love and care of the staff.

A memorial service will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, at the Marshall Healthcare activity room. A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Bar Harbor.
