Cecil G. Carter, 98, husband of the late Ruth Estelle Carter, died June 29, 2009, at his home. He was born June 18, 1911, in Brooklin, the son of Eugene and Hattie (Candage) Carter.
He is survived by one daughter, Rosalie Brown of Gardner; two sons, R. Paul Carter Sr. and his wife, Marilyn, of Verona Island, George A. Carter and his wife, Dorothy, of Seal Cove, eight grandchildren, Richard and his wife, Karen, Rosemarie, Reggie Jr. and his wife, Nancy, Larry, Allyson and her husband, Larry, Lori, Andrea and her husband, Anthony, Mark and his wife, Elisa; 10 great-grandchildren; two great- great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents; and his wife; he was predeceased by two sisters; and four brothers.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday July 2, 2009, at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, 215 Main St., Ellsworth. Private burial will be in Morgan’s Bay Cemetery, Surry.
