ELLSWORTH – Catherine Ann Walls, 78, of Ellsworth, daughter of the late Ernest and Cora Pottle of Perry, died at a Bangor Hospital on July 1, after a brief illness.
She was predeceased by her husband, the love of her life, Glenwood Walls Sr., in 1991. She is survived by one brother, James Pottle of Standish.
She was a beloved mother of her five children: Glenda Brooks, James, Glenwood Jr., Edna and Daniel Walls, and grandmother of Marie Rudolph, Brandon and Morgan Brooks, Kmry Todhunter, Michael Tripp, Calder Bourke and Tatiana Walls as well as great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Catherine was known for her kindness to any children she met, many who claimed her as their own “Grammy,” and her love of animals. She will be deeply missed by her family and all those who knew and loved her for her kind, generous spirit and fun-loving nature.
She was a member of the Ellsworth Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and had a strong faith in Bible promises. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Christian Ridge Road, Ellsworth, on Saturday, July 9, at 4 p.m.
