Bob Beallor

TRENTON — Bob Beallor, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away peacefully at his daughter’s home in Atlanta surrounded by his family on June 6, 2010. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1931, Bob celebrated his 79th birthday on May 15, 2010. He was a seasonal resident of Trenton.

He was the second child of Fanny and Irving Beallor, grew up with older brother Jerry and was doted on by his two loving aunts.

Bob is survived by his wife of nearly 57 years, Phyllis; two daughters and their husbands, Susan and Stuart Snyder, and June Beallor and Jack Dragon; grandchildren Sara and Madison Snyder; brother Jerry; nephew Marc; nieces Wendy and Fran; and many cousins.

Bob was loved by everyone who met him. He was gentle, kind, funny, and a very special person who left a lasting impact on his many friends and colleagues. A true nature lover, Bob was happiest outdoors. He was a member of various hiking clubs and a fixture on Acadia National Park mountain trails where he could be found leading hikes, guiding strangers and providing inside tips, prompting his daughters to often exclaim Bob’s Acadia! Bob was also a successful and trusted businessman, highly respected by his clients and colleagues.

A private burial service was held June 14, 2010 in Maine. A public memorial service will follow in New York City in the fall of 2010.
