ELLSWORTH – Beatrice A. (Cunningham) Belanger, age 82, passed away peacefully in her home on Nov. 25, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. She attended Ellsworth high school, class of 1954. She worked at Watson’s Laundromat and Strong’s Art Gallery. She resided in Hancock with her loving husband of 31 years, John Belanger.
Bea, also known as Nana, had a heart of gold and was loved by anyone who knew her. She was very generous, caring and extremely loving. Nana welcomed anyone to the family and always made them feel accepted. She was very active with her family, especially her great-grandchildren who were fortunate to spend time with her. She also enjoyed taking drives and spending time with her husband, John, who loved, supported and cared for her until her last day. Nana will be missed by all. Till we meet again in Heaven. We love you and you will be in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her daughter Roberta E. Power and husband, Bobby, son Eric Belanger and wife, Audrey, grandson Jason D. Carter and wife, Hillary, grandson Richard A. Higgins and Tina, granddaughter Tanya L. Higgins and Ryan, great-grandchildren Cody, Samantha, Nathan, Reese, Anthony, Whitney, James, Andrew, and his wife, Christy. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert “Owen” and Veria “Georgie” Cunningham.
