Barbara Ann Frost

Obit- Barbara Frost_OTIS – Barbara Ann Frost arrived in this world March 6, 1931, and left June 7, 2016.

It was a great 85 years. I had the best of both worlds, living at Beech Hill Pond, Otis, in the summer and Cardinal Cove, Fort Myers, Fla., in the winter.

I loved hosting holiday gatherings and celebrations, parties and dancing, traveling and cruising. Wherever I was, I was always surrounded by my loving family and friends — making memories and traditions that I hope will live on forever.

I am survived by my five children and their spouses; Pamela and Mark Sargent, Stephen Frost, Patricia and Michael Rock, Clifton and Pam Frost, and Heather Frost and Malcolm Higgins. My nine grandchildren — Ben Sargent and Dani Harriman, Justin Frost, Joshua Rock, Abbey and Trevor Jessiman, Katelin and Paul Joseph Lucas, Paige Colwell-Frost, Taylor Higgins, Megan Higgins and grand-daughter-in law Cindi Sargent. My four great-grandchildren — Nicholas Sargent, Andrew Sargent, William Sargent and Cassidy Rock. Special Niece Kelly Strang-Richard, and Honorary daughter Jan Li.

People waiting on the other side to greet me are my parents — Pete and Mary Fernald, husband of 38 years Harold P. Frost, twin sister Joan Strang, sister Jean Dube, special niece Cindy Polo, first grandson Jason R. Sargent, and partner for 16 years Bud Sella, along with many other family members and friends.

In accordance with my wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial celebration of life will be held at “Camp” on Beech Hill Pond, 225 West Shore Road, Otis, Maine on Saturday the 2nd of July, from 1-3 p.m. I was very Patriotic (The 4th of July being my favorite holiday) so in my honor please — wear red white and blue — bring a chair — and bring a story to tell!

Memorial contributions may be made to A Maine Veterans Organization, The Travis Mills Foundation, Belgrade Lakes Retreat, 89 Water St., Hallowell, ME 04347 (Travis Mills.org) or Hope Hospice, 9470 Healthpark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908, Attn: Development. (Donate.hopehcs.org).

Know when to pay your respects.
