SURRY — David Heath will be hosting a family wreath-making/tipping workshop on his woodlot at Granite Rock Circle South in Surry on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 9:30 a.m.
David Fuller with the University of Maine Cooperative Extension will be present to teach participants how to sustainably tip their fir trees, and demonstrate how to make a wreath.
Prentiss & Carlisle forester Steve MacDonald also will be present to discuss how woodland owners can manage their woodland to encourage quality wreath brush.
This is a family-friendly event. Parents are encouraged to bring children, but children should have an adult with them.
There is no charge for the workshop, but pre-registration is requested.
