Woman’s Club to meet Sept. 1



HANCOCK — The September meeting of the Hancock Woman’s Club will be held on Thursday, Sept. 1, at 6:30 p.m. at the Hancock Community Center on Route 1.

After a brief business meeting, there will be a presentation by Jean Guyette and Pam Murphy of Maine Coast Sea Vegetables. Maine Coast Sea Vegetables specializes in sustainably harvested seaweed from the North Atlantic.

The company offers a variety of native species such as dulse, kelp and laver. The freshly harvested sea vegetables are dried at low temperatures and hand-packed with minimal processing at the company’s facility in Hancock.

The company’s products are certified organic, gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free, GMO-free and mostly uncooked. They are available in retail stores nationwide and online.

The program is free and open to the public. Membership to the Hancock Woman’s Club is open to all women of Hancock County.
