MOUNT DESERT — The Mount Desert Fire Rescue Association has bought a $3,500 water cannon for the fire department’s new ladder truck and has given the town $2,000 for various pieces of additional equipment for the truck.
The board of selectmen formally accepted the gifts Tuesday night.
The town’s new $629,000 fire truck was put in service in late July.
