TREMONT — Mark Wanner emerged as the winner of the ninth annual Running of the Wildcats 5K Road Race here Oct. 10 with a time of 19:16.
The first female finisher to cross the line was Mary Dudzik of Bar Harbor, who came in with a time of 22:36. The winners of the yearlong Jack Russells/Eden Athletics points series are likely to emerge on Saturday, Oct. 24 at Bar Harbor’s Rolling Bones 5K.
On the women’s side, Anne Favolise-Stanton of Columbia leads in overall points. Not surprisingly, Bar Harbor’s Judson Cake is out front on the men’s side. But both racers need to score in at least one more event – either at the Rolling Bones 5K on the 24th or at the Ledgelawn quarter-mile on Halloween night.
