ELLSWORTH — In a talk at the Ellsworth Public Library on Thursday, Feb. 1, Dan DeLuca, vice president of the Maine Chess Association, will share his photos from Bhutan, where he played chess in the foothills of the Himalayas.
DeLuca also paid homage at the final resting place of Mahatma Gandhi and visited the oldest, continually running chess club in the world.
Also on Feb. 1, Dick Powell, host of the Ellsworth Chess Club, will present photos from his return trip to Madagascar, after 47 years.
The program is scheduled for 6 p.m.
