Training Sessions In Child Care Set



ELLSWORTH — Child Care Opportunities Resource Development Center will offer a training called “Getting Started in Family Child Care” on Friday, July 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Child & Family Opportunities, 18 Avery Lane in Ellsworth.

This training introduces the aspects of opening up a family child care business in the home.

A $10 fee is required with pre-registration.

The center is also offering a training called “Curriculum Planning: Science in Action” on Thursday, July 22, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Child and Family Opportunities.

This workshop will introduce the domain of science and feature fun ways to incorporate science into curriculum planning.

A $15 fee is required with pre-registration.

The center will offer a training called “Partners in Caring — Families and Caregivers” on Wednesdays from July 14 through Aug. 4 at Bucksport Area Childcare. Each session will run from 6 to 9 p.m.

This training covers information about families today, roles and boundary setting and verbal/written communication to reduce potential areas of conflict between families and caregivers.

A $10 fee is required with pre-registration.
