BUCKSPORT — A lawyer hired to investigate allegations of misconduct against the Bucksport Police Department is expected to submit a report to the town, possibly as soon as next week.
Bucksport Town Manager Roger Raymond declined to comment on details of the allegations against the Police Department because it was a “personnel issue.”
He said the town had conducted an internal investigation and reported the complaints to the Attorney General’s Office, which declined to investigate.
Raymond said town officials referred the matter to their legal counsel. He said the town was advised to hire outside counsel to look into the matter even though the allegations were “rather far-fetched.”
