BLUE HILL — Ridgely Fuller of Belfast recently returned from a trip to Iran. She will speak about her experiences and observations in a talk on Friday, April 19, at 7 p.m. at the Blue Hill Public Library.
Fuller traveled with a peace delegation of 28 U.S. citizens, led by the organization CodePink. They went in a spirit of respect and desire to learn about the rich history and cultural traditions of a country long considered by the U.S. government to be a pariah state.
The group’s schedule included a meeting with Iran’s foreign minister, who helped broker the nuclear agreement, and traveling to Shiraz and Isfahan, as well as Tehran. The group also toured museums, mosques and cultural organizations.
The talk is sponsored by Peninsula Peace & Justice. All are welcome to attend.
