STONINGTON — Constitutional lawyer and former federal prosecutor Buddy Parker will give a public talk exploring the background and implications of the Supreme Court’s likely reversal of the 1973 Roe v. Wade abortion rights decision.
Jointly sponsored by St. Brendan the Navigator Episcopal Church and the Stonington Wisdom Ingathering, the talk will take place at the Stonington Town Hall on Thursday, June 2, at 7:30 pm. It is titled “Inside Roe versus Wade: A Wisdom Perspective.”
This presentation is an outgrowth of a two-year “Civics for Wisdom Students” project initiated by spiritual teacher and local Stonington resident Cynthia Bourgeault. The project attempts to examine the United States Constitution through the lens of conscious evolution, focusing on the classic spiritual meanings of words such as justice, liberty, happiness and virtue.
Admission is by free will offering. Masking is voluntary but recommended.
