Summer Reading Program to Start

BLUE HILL — Children from preschool to age 12, readers and non-readers, will travel the globe this summer in the Blue Hill Public Library’s summer reading program, “One World, Many Stories.”

Children will explore places from Egypt to Japan through stories, crafts, music, dance and other activities. They will select their own books to read and keep track of how many they’ve read by recording them in their “passports.”

Readers will be rewarded throughout their reading journey and at a party at the end of the program as well.

Children can sign up for “One World, Many Stories” at the library beginning June 20. The program runs through Aug. 20 and includes events, story hours, prizes and more.

For more information, call the library at 374-5515 or visit the library’s website at www.bhpl.net.
