Student notes



Several area students have been named to the fall 2020 president’s list at Husson University in Bangor. Students who make the president’s list must carry at least 12 graded credit hours during the semester and earn a grade point average of 3.80 to 4.0 during the period.

The following local students were named to the list:

Husson has also announced its fall 2020 honors list. Students who make the honors list must carry at least 12 graded credit hours during the semester and earn a grade point average of 3.4 to 3.59 during the period.

Raiya Vikberg of Ellsworth was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2020 semester at Southern Maine Community College in South Portland. Vikberg is majoring in history.

Alahna Mild of Bernard was named to the fall 2020 dean’s list at Lasell University in Newton, Mass. Students who receive this honor have completed at least 12 credits as a full-time student and have achieved a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Syra Gutow of Castine was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2020 semester at Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y. To be named to the dean’s list, a student must have carried throughout the semester a course load of four or more graded credits with an average of 3.5 or above. Gutow, a first-year student, is a graduate of George Stevens Academy.

Virginia Erlanson of Orland was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2020 semester at Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio. This recognition required Erlanson to obtain a 3.75 GPA or higher for the semester and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours.
