Maine Maritime Academy in Castine recently named 358 students to the dean’s list for outstanding academic achievement in the second semester of the 2018-2019 academic year.

Students named to the dean’s List earn a grade point average of 3.3 or above on a 4.0 scale.

The following area students were named to the list:

Adam Poulin and Anna Kreitzer, both of Ellsworth, graduated from Bates College in Lewiston on May 26.

Poulin majored in psychology and minored in German. Kreitzer majored in psychology and minored in theater.

Rowan Waring of Brooksville was named to the dean’s list at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, N.Y., for the 2019 spring semester.

Waring is in the game design and development program.

Sarah Doing of Holden recently graduated from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minn., with a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management degree.

Shelby Deron of Holden was named to the dean’s commendation list for outstanding academic achievement in the spring 2019 semester at Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pa.

Matthew Duddy of Sedgwick graduated from Emmanuel College in Boston on May 11 during the college’s 97th commencement exercises.

Duddy received a Bachelor of Arts in Management degree during the ceremony.

Sarah Merrill of Bucksport was among nearly 600 students who graduated from Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C., on May 3.

Merrill graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.

Rebecca Gerrish of Bar Harbor graduated this spring from Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio.

Gerrish earned a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude.

Sean Keenan of Gouldsboro was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2019 semester at Champlain College in Burlington, Vt.
