BROOKLIN — The public is invited to join Frank and Shari John and ReVision Energy project manager Hans Albee for a solar open house on Thursday, June 10, from 2 to 5 p.m. at 185 Flye Point Road in Brooklin.
The focus of the open house will be the 3.68-kilowatt grid-tied solar electric system recently installed at the John residence by ReVision Energy of Liberty.
In addition to seeing a grid-tied solar energy system firsthand, guests are encouraged to come learn about solar hot water systems for domestic hot water and supplementary space heat, current historically low solar panel prices, state and federal government incentives, lowering utility bills, reducing dependence on fossil fuels and current solar technology in Maine.
Guests are encouraged to come by with questions and to sign up for a free site evaluation while at the open house.
Light refreshments will be served.
