Shriners parade coming to Ellworth June 15



ELLSWORTH — The Anah Shriners ceremonial and parade will be held in Ellsworth June 13 through 15. The parade from High Street to Main Street to State Street steps off from the Renys parking lot at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 15.

The Shriners’ ceremonial involves days of ritual and recreation. The current potentate of the Anah Shriners is Roger Grindle of Hancock. He was elected Jan. 19, 2019. Grindle is the second Hancock County potentate to bring the parade to Ellsworth.

The marching units on June 15 will include the color guard, Highlanders pipes and drums, the potentate, the divan (Shrine officers), past potentates, clowns, flag unit, Oriental band, Academicians, Keystone Kops, mini-lobster boats, mini-tractor trailers, Anah Indy cars, NASCARS, go-carts, mini-bikes and calliope, among others.
