Shelter Benefit Slated for Aug. 17

BLUE HILL — On Monday, Aug. 17, a “Parade of Pets” show, a family picnic and Flash in the Pans steel band street dance will be held at the Blue Hill Town Park.


The event will benefit homeless pets at The Ark Animal Shelter. The gate opens at 3:45 p.m. Pet show registration is from 3:45 to 4:50. All types of pets are welcome to enter (leashed or caged, please).

The pet show begins promptly at 5. A family picnic supper, including Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, will be served from 4:30 to dark.

A $5 suggested donation includes everything.

The concert is scheduled for 7:30. Rainout location is the Blue Hill Consolidated School.
