Series on cancer starting Oct. 1



BLUE HILL — Blue Hill Memorial Hospital, the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center and Tradewinds’ Pumped Up to Fight Cancer fund are co-sponsoring a series of four programs this fall and winter designed for cancer patients, caregivers, and health care providers.

The series is titled “Living with Cancer.” All programs will be held at the Blue Hill Library and no registration is necessary.

The first program, “Musings of an American Oncologist in Beijing,” will be presented by Dr. Philip Brooks on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 6:30 p.m. Brooks will discuss his experiences living in Beijing with his wife as he worked to develop a Western-style oncology center.

The rest of the series programs will take place on Nov. 7, Dec. 5 and Jan. 9 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the library.
