Sales Scheduled at SW Harbor Libary

SOUTHWEST HARBOR — The Southwest Harbor Public Library will host a Mother’s Day sale to benefit Summer Story Camp on Saturday, May 7.

Gift items for Mom, baked goods and trinkets will be for sale. There will also be live music with Ruth Grierson and free craft projects with Mike Duffy to round out the festivities.


All proceeds from the sale will support Summer Story Camp, which is a tuition-free weeklong literacy camp developed by Children’s Librarian Susan Plimpton and literacy specialist Rachel Kohrman.

To make a donation to Summer Story Camp, or sign up for the camp and/or the summer reading program, contact Plimpton at 244-7065.

The library also will be holding its annual plant sale on Saturday, May 14, from 8 a.m. to noon.

The sale will take place on the library’s front lawn. Plants of all sizes and shapes will be available. Festival of Flower Garden Tour tickets also will be on sale. All proceeds support the library.
