ELLSWORTH — Construction on Route 1A will stop at noon on Friday for the holiday weekend and not resume until Tuesday at 6 a.m., the Maine Department of Transportation announced Thursday morning.
Motorists should be aware that there are two miles of gravel roadway that will require traffic to slow down even though no work is being done.
