BLUE HILL — East Blue Hill artist and author Rebekah Raye will launch her newest children’s book with a reading at the Blue Hill Public Library on Friday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m.
“Bear-ly There” describes the story of a family being visited by a mischievous bear and their struggle with how best to take care of the problem.
Books will be available for purchase.
Raye is an artist known for her bird and animal paintings and sculpture.
The book signing event will coincide with “Library Café,” an occasional Friday night community event at 7 p.m. in the downstairs area of the library that features live music, hot drinks and baked goods.
