Puppet show at Blue Hill Library

BLUE HILL — Everyone is invited to a free performance by Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers of “Everybody Loves Pirates” on the Blue Hill Public Library lawn on Saturday, July 30, at 6 p.m.

Eight-year-old Lucy and her goofy pal Little Chucky are searching for buried treasure, but a gang of bumbling pirates keeps getting in the way. The kids get some help from their new ocean-dwelling friends, including enthusiastic superhero Lobster Boy, his reluctant sidekick Crabby and an overgrown sea monkey.

Founded in 2000, Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers has performed at festivals, schools, libraries and theatres in the United States and Canada. The group writes and creates all the shows it performs and have received three Citations of Excellence from UNIMA-USA, the highest national award in puppetry.

Reservations are not necessary. Bring a picnic blanket and/or lawn chairs if you have them.
