Pride concert in Orland June 28

ORLAND — The Oranbega Retreat Center in Orland welcomes singer-songwriter Danie Ocean from Philadelphia to headline an outside Pride concert on Monday, June 28, at 3:30 p.m. This live event is free and open to the public.

Ocean, an African-American non-binary lesbian singer-songwriter, will sing her original works, backed by the Oranbega Center house band, Spence & Co., comprising lead guitarist and composer Phill Kell, with Glenn Colby on bass, Phelan Gallagher on saxophone and Spencer Nelson on drums.

The musicians will perform on the center’s front deck at 36 Narramissic Drive in Orland. Audience members are welcome on the center’s riverbank and grounds to enjoy the music. Masks are not required but are strongly encouraged for those with any cold or flu symptoms or who are not fully vaccinated. Please bring a folding chair or a rug to sit on and your own picnic if you want to eat. Parking will be on the center’s property. Car-pooling is advised.
