Police Work

SOUTHWEST HARBOR — Town manager Robin Bennett reported Tuesday that drywall has been installed and painting has begun at the police station, which is undergoing renovations. Heating and plumbing work has been completed, she added.

Town officials are meeting this week with the general contractor to discuss a request for an extension for completing the project, which was delayed while selectmen made a decision about installing a new emergency generator.

The police station project should be finished some time in mid-November.
