Police Video Recorder to be Bought

MOUNT DESERT — The police department here will spend $4,999 for a new video recording system for one of its cruisers. It will replace a recording system that isn’t working properly and isn’t worth repairing, according to Chief Jim Willis.

The board of selectmen Monday night authorized him to use funds from the Police Capital Improvement Reserve Account to pay for the new system, which is the same type that is in the town’s other police cruisers.
