Poetry workshop set in Brooksville

BROOKSVILLE — The Brooksville Free Public Library is hosting a six-week workshop titled “Reading Poetry Together: Mary Oliver, Walt Whitman and Joy Harjo.”

By reading the work of these poets, participants will explore the roots and branches of some of the poetry of our country.

The workshop will be led by Beatrix Gates and is being offered for free to the public, but space is limited.

Each class will take place Thursday nights from 6 to 8 from Sept. 5 through Oct. 10. Participants should commit to attending each session.
