Poetry and puppets at Little Gallery August 12, 2018 on Community Announcements SURRY—Little Gallery will host two performances on Sunday, Aug. 19, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The evening opens with music, refreshments and a pottery demonstration. “Jetpack Buddha,” starting at 6 p.m., is an interactive poetry/music reading by Mark Rutter (words) and Jeff Rojo (guitar). Audience participation is encouraged and people are encouraged to bring an instrument or sound-making object. “The Funny Little Woman,” starting at 6:30, is a shadow puppet show based on a Chinese folk tale brought to the west by Lafcadio Hearn, retold by Arlene Mosel and adapted by Wicked Witch/Growlight Productions.
