Play Reading, Film Set in Blue Hill

BLUE HILL — The public is invited to participate in the Blue Hill Public Library’s monthly play reading group on Wednesday, March 17, at 7 p.m.

This month the group will read Henrik Ibsen’s “An Enemy of the People.”

The group welcomes first-time readers and experienced professionals alike. Copies will be available at the reference desk a week before the reading. Readings will begin at 7, but all are encouraged to come at 6:30 for a discussion about the play and its playwright.

Information: 374-5515 or Michael Donahue at 374-5248 or [email protected].

The library will also host a special showing of the film “Young @ Heart” on Saturday, March 20, at 7 p.m. The movie is a true story about a geriatric chorus in Northampton, Mass., singing wild rock music.

Sponsored by Friends of the Blue Hill Library, the showing is free of charge on the library’s big screen in the Howard Room.

Those interested in talking about movies and sharing a bit of fellowship may gather at 6, with or without a brown bag supper. Information: 374-5515 or Ed Schneider, 374-5027.
