Plants of Acadia Topic of SERC Talk

WINTER HARBOR — A lecture titled “Acadia’s Changing Landscape: Changes in Acadia’s Plants and the People Documenting Them over the Past 120 Years” is scheduled for Wednesday, July 20, at 7 p.m. in the Moore Auditorium at the Schoodic Education and Research Center (SERC).

Caitlin McDonough and Chris Arflack, graduate students working in Acadia National Park this summer to develop a process for Acadia to make their botanical collections more easily accessible, will present an illustrated lecture on how the flora of Acadia has changed since the late 1800s.

The program is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted at the door.
