Pecha Kucha Night In Blue Hill

BLUE HILL — The Blue Hill Peninsula’s first Pecha Kucha Night is scheduled for Wednesday, July 6, at 8:20 p.m. at Central Hall in South Blue Hill.

Pecha Kucha, “chit chat” in Japanese, was started by a group of designers in Japan to share their work in a very short format. This format of 20 slides at 20 seconds per slide is meant to keep talks moving a rapid but engaging pace.

The Blue Hill Pecha Kucha Nights will be informal and fun gatherings where the community gets together to listen to talks on ideas, work, thoughts and hobbies.

Before and after the presentation there will be time to mingle and have refreshments.

The first Pecha Kucha Night will feature Abby Barrows, Lauren Reiter, Eric Blake, Nico Jenkins, Jen Sansosti, Trevor Seip, Nathan Rutenbeck, Jessica Kerwin Jenkins and Ayelet Waldman presenting on a wide range of subjects.

The event is BYOB. There is a suggested donation of $5 to cover costs.
