ELLSWORTH — A family-owned computer sales and repair business opened at the Maine Coast Mall March 13.
Computer Essentials is owned by Bunker Herbest and Dave Pete. The shop at 225 High St. is the business’s second location.
Besides drawing new customers, the Ellsworth location will help serve existing customers from Hancock County who have been traveling to the Bangor store, which opened in 2000.
Computer Essentials sells new and used computers including PC laptops and desktops and provides on-site and in-store service on computers.
Herbest said the business can repair some printers and Macintosh computers as well. They’ve even been known to repair an iPod or Xbox on occasion.
Computer Essentials networks computer systems and also sells computer parts and accessories.
The Ellsworth store is open Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
