New Arrest Made in Home Invasion

SOUTHWEST HARBOR — An eighth man has been arrested and a warrant issued for another in connection with the alleged assault last week of a tenant inside his Main Street apartment.

Brian Thelismond, 21, of Ellsworth, was arrested Sunday on a warrant charging him with assault and burglary. A warrant also has been issued for Charles Pinkham, 24, of Sullivan, on the same charges. As of press time, Mr. Pinkham had not been located, police said.

Mr. Thelismond and Mr. Pinkham are accused of entering the apartment on the night of Oct. 26 along with a number of other suspects and assaulting a Southwest Harbor man. The victim, who is in his early 20s, was taken to Mount Desert Island Hospital in Bar Harbor, where he was treated and released for a cut on his head, according to Chief David Chapais of the Southwest Harbor Police Department.

Chief Chapais encourages anyone with information or involved in the incident to contact the Southwest Harbor Police Department at 244-7911.
