Native Maine plant sale May 29

BLUE HILL — Native Gardens of Blue Hill (NGBH) will host its annual sale of Maine native plants on Saturday, May 29, from 9 a.m.-noon. The event will take place at the NGBH gardens on the Bagaduce Music campus, located at 49 South St. in Blue Hill. Plants will be available to browse and purchase or can be pre-ordered for curbside pick-up.

The plant sale connects area nurseries with community members seeking sustainably propagated plants for their gardens and furthers NGBH’s mission to demonstrate the value of native plants and encourage ecological gardening practices. NGBH does not charge purchasers or vendors to participate in this event but welcomes donations in support of its garden and programs.

Participating vendors include 5 Star Nursery, Rebel Hill Farm, Honey Petal Plants and Blue Aster Native Plants. NGBH will host an online presentation on Thursday, May 20, at 7 p.m., during which vendors will showcase some of the plant species for sale.
