National Park Service hosting meeting tonight

WINTER HARBOR — The National Park Service is hosting an informational meeting tonight, Dec. 8, at the Schoodic Education and Research Center about management and use of Acadia National Park on the Schoodic Peninsula.

The meeting at Moore Hall, which also is being hosted by the Acadia National Park Advisory Commission, will be held from 7 to 9 p.m.

The park service is looking at contingency plans should increased visitor use of Acadia National Park on the Schoodic Peninsula require new management approaches.

The park leadership staff will provide brief presentations followed by an open discussion.
